I have the previous 4 seasons of NCIS. NCIS is the best show on TV IMO. The 5th season was great. Why have I only given 3 stars to my review? I ordered the 5th season from Amazon and what I got was one disk was full screen and the remaining disks were widescreen. When I returned them, Amazon sent me a replacement and the same thing happened, but it was a different disk that was full screen. IMO, Amazon has been better than any other supplier of CD's, DVD's, and books with their return and refund policies, so I assume its the manufacturers. I will eventually purchase it again and by that time, maybe they will have straightened out the problem. But you just can't beat the characters of Leroy Jethro Gibbs, Tony D., Ziva, McGee, Ducky, and especially Abby of any show that's on right now. There is more depth, humor, and love in NCIS than I've seen in any other show in my lifetime.
Season 5 is simply the best but I hate the ending! October 14, 2008
Since I live overseas and don't have sattelite TV or cable, I am reliant upon getting my favourite shows on DVD boxed sets, and I looked forward to getting this particular one. I wasn't disappointed, as I consider it to be the best season so far. The overall basic reviews put forward cover all the bases, I love the interplay between the main characters of the CSI team, so with the shock ending, I was just gasping in disbelief. (Spoiler alert!) How can they top these characters by bringing in new ones? What will happen to DiNozzo, David and McGee now they are no longer part of the central set of characters? They were the main reason I watched, along with Ducky and Abbey. I can't imagine the series without them! :(

this season answered alot of questions and was really good. i have been very impressed with all the seasons of this show, if you haven't watched, try it out!

the rapport between the characters remains one of the best things about this series. The stories were a little disappointing; nevertheless, I am not sorry I purchased the DVD.

I have been an rabid fan of this series since its very first episode, I own seasons 1-5 on Dvd and hope that it will run forever. Mark Harmon has always been one of my favourite actors, he has great screen presence and he is a master of his craft. The rest of the team are excellent and the rapport between this cast is exceptional. NCIS is a fun, fast moving,factual and fantastic TV show and it should on the top of everyone`s viewing list. It`s also great to have David McCallum back on TV as the quirky and extremely knowledgable Ducky Mallard.
