Episodes remembered but don't see in dvds January 14, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I love the Bewitched show as a child growing up in the 60s. I'm glad I can now get them on dvds to watch them again. I'm so glad that their in color now. I have seasons 1-3 but I haven't seen some episodes that I remembered in these or the other seasons when I read about them. Like, the episode when Jack Cassidy mistakes Serena for Samantha and then later takes Serena out. He comes back to tell Darrin and Samantha how he ended up on the moon or when Samantha is pregnant with Tabitha and her cravings takes her to the foods she wants. And the one when the Stephens go back to another of Kim Kovak character's dinner party but, the this time their going to wear the right outfit for the occasion. But these dvds sure bring back alots of good memories. A. Davis
FUNNY!! You must see this!!! September 14, 2007 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
Overall, the colorization was great. These episodes were definately enhanced by color. The colorization was too brilliant in the first episode, but it made it funnier. Here is a listing of my favorite episodes: 1. Aunt Clara goofs again and turns Darrin into a chimpanzee. 2. Endora casts a spell on Darrin so that he feels the symtons of pregnancy. This was hilarious-a Dick York best!! 5. This is Uncle Arthur's first appearance, and the colorization enhances the entertainment. This episode is the second (the first was as a driving instructor in season 1) episode to show Paul Lynde's huge comedic talents. 6. Samantha looses her powers when she is exposed to a Black Peruvian Rose. Aunt Clara decides on the cure. 7. Endora puts a spell on Darrin so that he slowly turns into a werewolf. Maureen McCormick (pre-Brady Bunch) plays the young Endora. 10. Endora changes Darrin into a youth when she wonders what her grand child will look like. 11. Aunt Clara pretends to have full and reliable magic powers to impress an old boyfriend. 12. Samantha baby-sits for a friend's 10-year old son, but doesn't tell Darrin that the child is a warlock. 13. Endoiira gives the Tate's a teddy bear for their son, but Darrin assums that the toy is Larry. (Darrin thinks that Endora has turned Larry into the teddy bear, but she hasn't.) 14. Endora gives Darrin a statute that causes mortals to speack only their true thoughts. 15. A nostalgic look at the Christmas from the year before, when Samantha takes Darrin and an orphan (Billy Mumy) to meet Santa Claus. 17. Samantha employs Naiomi (later, the actress who plays Aunt Ezmeralda) as a maid. 18. The Stephen's daughter, Tabitha, is born. Darrin mistakes Cousin Serena (also Elizabeth Montgomery) for a grown-up version of the baby. 19. The Kravitzs' give Tabitha a share of stock. When it rises in value, Darrin suspects that the child is a witch. 20. Another nostalgic journey begins as Samantha reminds Darrin about the night that she met his parents-and Aunt Clara conjured up a fancy dinner. 23. Endora gives Darrin, unbeknownst to him, three wishes. He accidentally wishes to become Larry for a day. 25. Samantha changes a race horse into a person. 27. Samantha helps a leprachaun recover his pot of gold from the home of a prospective client of Darrin's. 28. An argument between Darrin aned Larry goes way too far, so Louis and Samantha get them back together. 29. Samantha is hexed by a witch debunker (played by the actor who would play Dr. Bombay later in the series), and Endora helps find the cure. 30. A private detective, Charlie Leach, discovers that Samantha is a witch. 31. Charlie Leach blackmails Samantha. 33. Endora divides Darrin. His fun-loving half goes to Florida with Samantha, while his hard-working half stays home and works on a campaign. 34. A lovesick warlock (Richard Dreyfus) tries to win his former babysitter's, Samantha, affection. 36. Endora sends Samantha back in time to find out if Darrin would have married her if he had known that she was a witch before the marriage. 38. Samantha helps Gladys' brother, Louis Gubber, gain the courage to play his violin before an audience. (This is the last episode with the first Mrs. Kravitz, Alice Pearce. Alice Pearce died of ovarian cancer soon after the season.)
My book is Dreams in August: Life, Love, and Cerebellar Ataxia
Bewitched on DVD September 14, 2007 I can't tell you how wonderful it is to watch a great show like Bewitched again. There is too much reality TV today and with reality so difficult to deal with it is such a relief to get away from it and watch a fantasy situation like Bewitched. It's funny, it's cleverly written, and the charactors are very well devoloped. Anyone who gets these DVD's will not be sorry.

I love bewitched. IT's amazing how they did the stunts and funny that you can see the wires every now and then.

This is my #1 fav tv comedy of ALL TIME (#2 is 'everybody loves raymond').
Bewitched's 2nd season is even better than the 1st with the birth of Stephens' baby girl Tabitha and introduction to the characters Serena and Uncle Arthur (who actually appeared in Season 1 as the driving instructor, which added more interesting stories and dynamics to the show.
I have purchased this set about a month or so ago and finished watching them in 2 days (I just couldn't stop!!) and I have re-watched them at least 5x so far. In addition to the humor and entertainment value, i find this show also being educational. very often, the dialogs make reference to historical events/person as well as some older 'jargons' that people no longer use these days.
overall, i am very happy with my purchase (I bought all 4 seasons) and can't wait for the rest to come out!
