Upon sharing some of my personal stories at storytelling festivals, colleges, & similar venues, I have often been asked if those stories are on any of my recordings. Up to now the answer had always been no. Since so many people seemed interested, this CD is a result of those requests. These stories are from experiences in my life. They show the beauty of friendship, the character of courage, and how one's reactions to racial, cultural, & generational barriers or conflicts can completely transform the outcome & may even transform the participants. I didn't search out these stories or events--they simply occurred as part of my everyday living--but they all left a strong impression on me. They all contributed to the person I am today, & I think they also very much affected some of the others involved in these stories. When I think of these stories, two proverbs jump to mind: 1.Talking with one another is loving one another, 2. A stranger is just a friend you haven't met yet. AWESOME!!!!! INVEST IN THIS CD! July 22, 2006
I'm now 17 years old and I saw Diane tell her stories in person from ages 6 thru 14. I still LOVE her stories, they are so captivating! Even my parents loved them. We bought her CD's and still listen to them on vacation in the car. Invest in this, I PROMISE you won't be disappointed.
