Folks is as good as it gets June 17, 2008 If you can't laugh at this movie you are dead. I would put this in my bag of best comedy movies along with Blazing Saddles, Young Frankenstein, Weekend at Bernies, and The Russians are Comming, The Russians are Coming. It's slapstick people, enjoy it don't analze it.
I love this movie! April 21, 2008 This is an older movie but it is still very funny! Unlike a lot of movies that after you have seen the trailer you have seen all the action that the movie contains, this movie keeps moving through the entire story! It is funny, touching and probably hits home with a lot of families! So glad it is finally on DVD! If you have never seen this and love to laugh and cry all in the same movie, this is a must see. It is also an excellent bargain!
This is a HOOT April 8, 2008 It is a bit slap stick comedy but it is great in that it is somewhat self-imposed. As a child he neglects to be in contact with his parents and when he does resond to an emergency with his Mom he gets paid back, so to speak, for the years of neglect to his parents. His troubles are due to his lack of interest in them and time has marched on leaving his knowledge of thier condition a bit dusty. Never believe that people who are lost to old age are entirely lost. They are there, somewhere!
Funny! Don Ameche & Tom Selleck are Great! April 1, 2008 If you're looking for a fun comedy this one's it. The cast of characters just work together well. They're zany, they're endearing, they're wonderful.
If you're a fan of Don Ameche, this is a movie to watch :)
FOLKS March 9, 2008 I love this DVD, one of the funniest movies about family I have ever seen. I loved the movie when it came out in 1992 and am so grateful it was on DVD. Good humor, all the family can enjoy this film. It shows how little mix ups can happen, even when you are trying to help, Sooooo Funny
