"Star-studded" July 8, 2007 17 out of 17 found this review helpful
"Star-studded" is a term that gets tossed around casually, often without cause. Saying that the COMEDY 10 MOVIE PACK is star-studded is no exaggeration, however. Some of the most famous mid-20th century Hollywood actors appear in these films. To name just a few: Bob Hope, Fred Astaire, Jimmy Stewart, Humphrey Bogart, Kirk Douglas and Jimmy Cagney. Not a bad list, huh?
All of these public domain comedies are quite good. Transfer quality is fine, and the price a real bargain. With clean humor, sure-fire laughs and the best of performers, this is a collection that belongs in all home cinematic libraries.
Another related DVD box set is the COMEDY CLASSICS 50 MOVIE PACK COLLECTION. It contains six of these, plus such family favorites as the East Side Kids, Laurel & Hardy, Mickey Rooney and the Keystone Cops.
. The following alphabetized program list provides 1 to 10 viewer poll ratings for each title, plus their years of release and most prominent actors.
