Most vertical primate? More like most valuable piece of cinamatic history! May 7, 2007 Let me start off by saying that I was a little skeptical about this movie upon first sight. I was at a local video store and I couldn't bring myself to settle on any movies that they had, until I came across this gem. I then decided to spend my hard earned 2.99 on what I thought would be an "alright" movie for my friday night. Little did I know that I was in for a thrill ride of laughter upon laughter. This is the most hilarious movie that I have ever seen in my life. The movie stars a chimp named Jack who is a natural at skateboarding. After a conflict with local school bully "Ted", Jack enters himself in the schools most awesome skateboard competition to prove to Ted who's really the man. This movie had me laughing until my sides hurt. Jack is such an awesome actor! Not to mention an all-star cast of Jaimie Foxx as "the only one who believed in Jack", and Anthony Hopkins as Teds evil skateboard coach. My favorite part of the movie is when Jack mistakes a grenade for a pear and eats it, giving him some gnarly gas. What really suprised me about the movie is the scene where Jack (yes the chimp) actually lands a "kick flip" on his skateboard. It was the craziest thing I've seen since "Cannibal Halocaust". If you want to spend the night laughing then "BUY THIS MOVIE". Upon other movies I would recemmend "3 ninjas:High noon on mega mountain", or "Ernest Goes To Alcatraz".
WARNING Not Widescreen! No matter what you order. March 21, 2006 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Regardless of what you order, you get full screen, which really pisses me off. There is no excuse for only making a full screen DVD in the 21st Century!!!
NEXT! January 4, 2006 ok hear me out. When i heard about this movie coming out, i thought it was the same thing with only a twist. (Like how jack and his freind is drafted to a hockey team). That happens, but Jack gets thrown out of the game so fast, thats the only hockey footage they have. I thought that the monkey would kick some butt again, make a wicked-high slap-shot. But no. It's all about skateboarding. If you thought of getting this about a good hockey movie, you have better re-think it

another movie about chimps and skateboards. like i didn't have enough to spend my paycheck on. so this one starts off seeming pretty cool, but when you consider this is the digital age i really think they could have had the chimp doing way better tricks. also, having a chimp go from playing hockey in one movie to skateboarding in the next is ridiculous.
