I was part of the blessed generation of television viewers whom were weekly treated by this extraordinary show with it's unforgettable cast. Brother's and Sister's brought back so many memories about Thirtysomething and I am desperate to get in front of the tv and do the re-run spin with this greatly missed serie. Please do your best to influence whoever needs to be influenced to get Thirtysomething available in dvd. Thank you for your flawless service to your customers and let's get Thirtysomething on your impressive resume as soon as possible;) Jutta Olli, Greece
we need thirtysomething on dvd now! October 24, 2008 i was in my early twenties when thirtysomething premeired on abc and i could really relate to all of the characters (especially gary) and storylines even back then. now that i am in my late thirties with a two year old son, i especially understand the angst that comes from parenthood, while trying to get ahead in your career, maintaining friendships, maintaining relationships, marriage, all of that great stuff the writers of the show depicted. i can't remember a better televison show, a show that actuallly felt like a series of short films. the writing, directing, and acting are almost revolutionary. the look of the show is unique and was much copied at the time. remember how michael and hope always had to face the challenge of faith? how about nancy and elliot's marriage and the highs and lows? i would buy this series on dvd in a second. by the way, i can now relate to michael today like the way i related to gary back then.

Thirtysomething transends the '80's. People are just as obsessed with themselves now as they were twenty years ago when this show was written. We still struggle with the issues of wanting the American dream house, the agonizing climb to professional success, leaving behind the days of egocentric youth in order to become egoless parents, defining new relationships with aging parents, maintaing healthy relationships with friends, and the unescapable reality that death is a reality for all of us. The hairstyles, 1980's fixer-upper houses (Bob Villa era), and clothing may be dated, but the themes are timeless. Bring us the DVD so that we can become reacquainted with Michael & Hope, Gary & Susanna, Elliot & Nancy, Milissa, and Ellyn. We loved them because they reflected our weaknesses, fears, desires, flaws, and strengths. We loved the setting (craftsman houses, fireplaces, rag rugs, leather chairs, bookcases filled with books, pianos, porches, gardens, old oak trees, porcelain tubs, small cluttered rooms, window seats, and breakfast rooms) because it carves out a piece of Americana for us. Many of us now residing in new builds with granite counters and cul-de-sacs want to return to the era of the well-worn interiors of our youth. BRING BACK THIRTSOMETHING!!!

Thirtysomething is a TV show that needs to be out on DVD ASAP. There are a lot of 50 somethings who watched this show eagerly, and looked forward to the life of a classic American family. Want to stimulate the economy, put this great show out on DVD, and stores will not be able to keep it on their shelves. There are lots of folks out there who are waiting for Thirtysomething to be released so they can race to their local Walmarts and Targets to scoop it up. Producers will be saying, should have done this 15 years ago.
